Is that a highly trained killer in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me? Glu Games, makers of more than a few hit free-to-play titles, are prepping to launch the latest entry in their Contract Killer franchise this Thursday.
Contract Killer: Sniper is the fifth game in the series (Contract Killer 1 & 2, and Contract Killer: Zombies 1 & 2 predate it), and it sets mobile gamers on a globe-trotting mission of action and intrigue.

We’ve spent a little time with this one prior to its release, and despite the name’s suggestion, the gameplay doesn’t vary tremendously from past games in the series. You’ll still be ducking for cover, wiping out rooms full of enemies, and tossing out the occasional throwing knife.
There seems to be additional focus on sniper-specific missions where you’ll need to identify the target, but it doesn’t change the formula up drastically. We’re not looking at something with the same gameplay as, let’s say, Hitman: Sniper. Depending on how you look at it, this is either a good thing or a bad thing.
Fans of the series will have more of it to love when Contract Killer: Sniper hits the App Store and Google Play on Thursday, November 6th.
