BitLife Health

Your health is something that can easily be overlooked during a BitLife. Overlooking your health can have dangerous consequences which include picking up life-threatening diseases and various STD’s. Your health also affects your happiness and your job prospects. If you are in bad health, you won’t be happy and you will underperform at your job, which can cause the sack.

But fear not, there are many simple tactics to increase your health, most of these tactics are cheap and some of them are free. So pay close attention and you should be fit as a fiddle in no time.

• Go to the doctor. Part of life is dealing with illness and BitLife is no different. So this means if you get sick, get medical attention immediately. Yes, most afflictions can be cured over time but it’s not good for your health to live with them. Not every illness can be cured, so don’t waste too much money trying.
• Go to the Alternative Doctor. If you notice you are in bad health and have not been diagnosed with anything, then visit the alternative doctor. Getting your colon cleaned is a great way to increase your health, plus seeing a chiropractor and acupuncture will help.
• Go to the gym. Another way to live a healthier BitLife is to go to the gym regularly. You can go to the gym more than once a year, so I recommend doing so. A consequence of going to the gym involves picking up minor illnesses like athlete’s foot, so be sure to go to the doctor after being diagnosed.
• Avoid drugs and alcohol. Alcohol can be consumed and not affect your health bar, but drugs should be avoided at all costs. Even though marijuana is medicinal in some states does not mean taking some will increase your health.

BitLife Happiness

Maintaining a high happiness percentage during your BitLife is crucial to success and survival. Having a low amount of happiness can cause you to be fired from your job and develop mental health issues like insomnia or depression.

If you are unlucky, you will face a lot of random events that will make you unhappy. These events could be the death of a loved one, a miscarriage or a partner cheating on you. Either way, bad things can happen to you and you will have to bounce back strong or risk ruining your BitLife.

• Vacation or cruise. If you are unsure how to get your happiness up from 20% or lower, then a vacation will help. It’s important that when you pick somewhere to go that it sounds nice. This is a little subjective, but an economy flight to somewhere like Iran might not be as enjoyable as a business class flight to Australia.
• Spend time with loved ones. A far cheaper way to cheer you up from a tragedy is to spend time with family. Avoid having conversations as you can end up with a disagreement (which makes things worse). So play safe and spend as much time with family as possible.
• See a movie. You might get unlucky and see a crappy movie, but a good movie can turn that frown upside down. Plus watching a movie is free and low risk, so it can be an effective way to gain some happiness.
• Find a new love. Depending on the type of tragedy you had, a new lover might make things better. A downside to this is if you get rejected you can make things worse, so try not to rely on this unless you have 70% or higher looks.
• Time. I know nobody wants to hear this, but time is a great healer. If you are out of money or loved ones to help comfort you, then ageing a couple of years should help see you through this difficult time.

So as you can see there are many ways to get your happiness and health up. Some of these methods are more effective than others, so don’t be afraid to use a mixture to get your bars to 100%.

Lucky there’s a BitLife Family Guy!

They did not design this ribbon to get you to do anything particularly new, instead, it’s there to reward you for taking advantage of what’s already there. Cryptic right? But what I mean by this, is to get the Family Guy ribbon you must be focused on making your family happy.

Ideally marry the first person you date, have at least two kids with them and then dedicate your BitLife to keeping their bars full. It’s hard to say which family members qualify for the Family Guy ribbon, so to play it safe try to get every family members’ bar to the max, that way you can’t miss.

Happiness? More or less…

If you haven’t already guessed, it’s not just as simple as making the family happy. You also have to live a boring and unfulfilling life where you avoid violent confrontations and earn a little amount of money. Instead, your focus is on your family and you shouldn’t aim to achieve too much or anything notable.

It’s likely that in your attempts to get this ribbon, you end up with one you weren’t aiming for. To avoid a disappointing situation like this, say no to drugs, drinking and gambling. You also need to avoid any situation that will end with you in prison, so no criminal activity and no assaults or encounters with wild animals.

This is a ribbon where you set your entire BitLife to achieve, so you want to get it on your first try. If you have been a good family man your entire life, but save someone’s life in a random event you will end up with the Hero ribbon. Just like if you win a lottery you will end up with rich or loaded, so it’s important to not to risk getting any other ribbon. All it takes is one wrong move and bam, you are on track for a different ribbon entirely.

Here are all of the BitLife ribbons you can unlock, complete with links to our full guide on how to get them.

Academic

A reasonably hard ribbon to achieve where you will need to study hard throughout your life. Try to take as many courses as you can and spend as much time as you can at a university. It helps to have really high smarts from birth but it is not essential.

Addict

If you’ve ever played BitLife, then you’ll know all about addiction and the best ways to cure it. To get this ribbon, you will avoid curing your drug or gambling addiction. Rack up as many addictions as you can when you are offered a drink or drug, always accept it.

Cat Lady

A Cat Lady is a woman who prioritises her felines over family and friends. You should have as many cats as you can at all times, which means replacing them as soon as they die. Make no effort to talk to family and focus on mainting green bars with every single cat.

Cunning

To achieve this ribbon, you must escape from prison, and never be caught again. There are many ways you can do this, one is blind luck where you carry on your life with a low-paying job and hope you never get caught. Other more reliable ways include emigration or a sex change. The issue with these methods is they are expensive and emigrating can often get you caught, anyway.

Deadly

To be classified as deadly, you will have to commit more than one murder throughout your lifetime. Getting this wrong can leave you with the Jailbird or Scandalous ribbons.

Family Guy

A Family Guy is someone who prioritises the happiness of their family over a successful career and fortune. You need to marry (ideally the first woman you date) and have at least a couple kids. Next, you need to keep their happiness bars full your entire life. To be safe, I recommend doing the same with all family members like parents and siblings.

Famous

This ribbon speaks for itself in terms of what you will need to do. Get a job in the entertainment industry, including acting or porn. Post a lot to social media and try to amass a huge following.

Fertile

In order to be branded with the fertile ribbon, you will have to have at least four children. Importantly, you should have kids as early as possible and try not to achieve anything else in your life. Just be known for having many kids and that should do it.

Geriatric

To achieve this ribbon, live a long and uneventful life. I say uneventful because if you earn too much money or fornicate a lot you will end up with something else. To earn the Geriatric ribbon, try to live beyond 100 years and the rest should be a piece of cake.

Globetrotter

To become a Globetrotter, you must trot the globe. This includes emigrating multiple times or taking multiple vacations. You will need to have a lot of disposable income to travel, but avoid becoming too rich and getting the Loaded ribbon.

Hero

Almost the exact opposite of being scandalous. You must be forgiving and non-aggressive when confronted. A way to tell if you on track is, by having high karma and being nice to others and family this should help you achieve this ribbon.

High Roller

We mentioned gambling earlier, but to get this ribbon you must be good at it. You must stake a lot of money and I mean ‘a lot’ to be able to win big. Having millions to dispose of is useful here, as partners aren’t too happy if you blow a lot of money.

Houdini

You can earn this ribbon in the same way as the Cunning ribbon. Instead of avoiding capture, ideally, you want to go back to prison and escape again. Escape as many times as you can to achieve this one. Check out our section on the Cunning Ribbon above for links on how to escape prison.

Jailbird

Spend as much of your life in prison as possible and try to die in prison. To avoid getting the Scandalous ribbon try not to murder, instead go to prison for assault and keep trying to escape and riot. Unsuccessfully escaping adds more and more years to your sentence.

Lazy

This is the second easiest ribbon to earn in BitLife. All you need to do is keep pressing the ‘age’ button until you are dead. This means you never improved yourself, spent time with family or socialised. I wouldn’t recommend living every life like this, just the one time for the ribbon.

Loaded

In order to be loaded, you must have an incredibly successful life, where you earn over 10 million. Remember that what else you achieve in life can affect what ribbons you get, so just try to earn as much money as possible and start early. That way you can’t miss!

Lustful

This is not a difficult ribbon to achieve, but it helps if you have good looks. All you need to do is fornicate as many times as you can. If you lie around a lot throughout your life and don’t achieve a lot, you will earn this ribbon with no difficulty.

Mediocre

It is incredibly easy to earn a mediocre ribbon in real life, and the same can be said about BitLife. To live a mediocre a life, you must achieve nothing. This means no confrontations with friends, any retaliation to people insulting you and not earning much money. Earning no property or vehicles also helps, plus losing your job and going to prison can also help you achieve this ribbon.

Model Bitizen

A Model Bitizen is a person who lives a life without any drugs or alcohol all while maintaining a good relationship with each family member. At some point during your life, a random event will come up and you should respond with calling the police.

Mooch

A Mooch is someone who is regularly asking their own family for money. It doesn’t matter if they give you money or not, what matters is that you ask each family member once a year. If your family dies then enter a relationship and ask them for money. It’s important that you ask each family member for money, the less family members the better as it makes your life easier.

Rich

To be classified as rich, you must have a net worth of at least 1 million. To earn this ribbon your defining feature must be the amount of money you earn rather than your family or loved ones. So if you are building a happy family and stacking the cash, you probably won’t earn this ribbon.

Rowdy

Think of this one as the party animal, the one that’s first to argue and is always out clubbing. So, getting this ribbon means a lot of house parties, go clubbing a lot and argue with individuals. Avoid assaulting them as you will go to prison, but arguing is just fine.

Scandalous

Be an aggressive individual who starts a lot of fights and spends several years inside prison. Once you make an aggressive decision, more follow. So it should be quite easy to achieve this ribbon.

Stupid

To be stupid, one must be very stupid. This involves never studying, dropping out of school and doing nothing to improve your intelligence. throughout your life they will give you choices, so always make the wrong decision, like don’t wear a condom. Petting a wild animal is stupid, but I can’t 100% confirm this will get you the ribbon.

Successful

Live the life of your dreams, if your dreams were a middle-class life. Have a stable relationship and a few kids, earn money but not a lot. Have a decent car, a decent house, nothing too fancy and you will get this ribbon no problem. Avoid aiming for top jobs and stay clear of drugs or casinos.

Teammate

Candywriter has added a few new career paths, one of which is a mobile developer. Taking this job makes you part of the team of game developers out there in the wide world. If you are in Toronto, you might notice they called the game developer company Gamezebo. So extra brownie points to anyone who works for Gamezebo and becomes part of our team!

Thief

In order to get this new ribbon, you need to steal as much as you can without ever being caught. This includes pickpocketing, burglary and grand theft auto. The hardest part of the ribbon is not getting caught, which means avoiding prison at all costs. Whether you are extra careful or pay for good lawyers you need to avoid jail.

Unlucky

Every couple of play through you’ll end up ending your life early by no fault of your own. This can be a car crash, a terminal illness or an unfortunate event that ensures your life is cut short. This is pretty difficult to aim for, so just keep playing and it will eventually happen.

Wasteful

This has to be the easiest ribbon in the entire game. All you have to do is begin a new life, and before you press the age button, you need to end your life. This means dying as an infant which is a shame, but worth the achievement.

Wicked

Achieving this ribbon involves having a lot of threesomes.  To have a threesome, you will need a partner who registers highly on the crazy spectrum. Avoid having one-night stands because you will end up with a lot of lovers. Having a lot of lovers earns you the Lustful ribbon. So have threesomes and cheat on your partners as much as you can.

General Ribbon Tips

Bear in mind that the biggest difficulty is to get just a single Ribbon in a game of BitLife. You can accidentally end up fulfilling the criteria for multiple different Ribbons and there’s not a lot you can do to help it.

Here’s how to get the BitLife lustful ribbon.

Fornicate To Your Heart’s Content

To achieve this ribbon, you will need to do one simple thing a lot of times. You might have guessed what you need to do just by the title, but you’d be surprised at just how many times you will need to do it. If you haven’t guessed, you will need to hook-up with as many partners as you can. Whether these hook-ups are one-night stands, or an actual relationship doesn’t really matter. You need to get out there and get as many lovers as you can.

Just Fornicate?

Yeah pretty much. To be classed as lustful, you must go around doing lustful things like threesomes or one-night stands. Another aspect to remember is that if you seek higher education and other opportunities, then you make it harder to achieve the lustful ribbon. To be lustful, aim to be just that and not much else. So try to drop out of school as soon as possible and limit your career ambitions. This way you are guaranteed to get the ribbon as you achieved nothing else throughout your BitLife.

I Have Slept Around, But Still Can’t Get The Ribbon

Oh, I have been there and done that my friend. My advice is exactly what I have said above. To simply lie around with as many people as possible and do very little, if nothing else. One thing I think people forget is 20 lovers across a lifetime is normal. If you want to grab the lustful ribbon you will need to be eccentric. So we are talking 30+ lovers for this ribbon as a minimum. Essentially, you want to finish your life with more lovers than your total age, this should guarantee the lustful ribbon.

One last piece of advice I can impart is to try to avoid ending your life. When you commit suicide in BitLife, you seem to forfeit whatever ribbons you were on track for as you always seem to qualify as wasteful. Maybe I got unlucky, but if you are on track for a ribbon just play out the rest of your life. It would be silly to give up a ribbon due to impatience because then you will have to do it all again.

Here’s a list of BitLife schools you can attend.

Law School

Law school is the hardest of all the schools to qualify for. There are several factors that can affect your ability to qualify, some of which can be out of your control. The first thing to note before you set your heart on law school is your own intelligence. Lawyers are no fools so you will have to be a clever individual to be accepted into law school.

Another factor which is often out of your control is the subject you study. If you pick a course like dance, arts or information technology you will not be eligible to enlist at law school. This is because in BitLife you can’t be a lawyer who specialises in dance or any other obscure subject, to become a lawyer you must study something law-related. I know “law-related” sounds ambiguous, but there are only a few subjects that this can apply to. These subjects include History, English or Political Science.

If you want to become a judge or a lawyer, then law school is the one for you.

Medical School

To enlist at medical school the same criteria can be applied from law school. You will need to be smart because no hospital wants to employ a dumb doctor. You will need to study hard for a long time, no one falls into medicine so you must devote your BitLife into becoming a doctor.

To qualify for medical school, you must study a subject that will make you eligible to qualify for medical school. If you want to be a medical doctor, then studying Biology, Chemistry or Physics should see you qualify. Picking something like Psychology also qualifies for medical school, but you won’t be a medical doctor, instead, you will be a psychiatrist which is just as well-paid.

Business School

Business School is the place to be if you have your heart set on becoming a CEO. It has far less strict rules on what course count towards qualification. You should aim to study at university anything mathematical or business based. This is not a hard school to qualify for and you don’t even need to be that clever. If you dedicate yourself to a business you should be rewarded, eventually.

Graduate School

To qualify for graduate school is one of the easiest things to do. Picking any solid subject like English, Psychology or Maths is sure to see you qualify. Avoid any silly subjects like dance or anything that would be difficult to gain employment with.

Think of graduate school as a place to enhance whatever degree you studied previously. Normally this means that whatever job you will get should be well paid, but not as well paid as business school or medical.

Nursing School

I haven’t tried to enlist in nursing school with anything other than a degree in nursing, but I think it’s fair to say that I wouldn’t try to enlist with anything else. I am not knocking down the nursing profession, but if you have studied Biology or Chemistry, then you really can do better than nursing. Nursing is a relatively well-paid profession with ample opportunities to gain promotion, so it is worth doing if you can do no better.

Dental, Pharmaceutical, and Veterinary School

I have lumped these three schools together for good reason, they all require similar subjects and intelligence levels. I am sure you can enlist in pharmaceutical school with many qualifications, but in my experience having a science as your major has always helped. The same goes for vets and dentists, they require an intelligent person who could easily just enlist in medical school.

Think of these three professions as just doctors with different titles. You will need to do everything a doctor does, but instead of going to medical school, you go to one of these schools instead.

BitLife Mediocre Ribbon

Mediocrity is easy to achieve in BitLife

To get the mediocre ribbon, you must live a simple relatively well-behaved life. This means avoiding committing murders and ending up in prison and not making a massive fortune either. It may sound tricky to live a life where you do little, but I can assure you that a casual play style will help you achieve this ribbon on your first try.

What do you mean by casual play style?

Well, it is easy to get carried away and spend ages on each individual year of your life. This is a good way to achieve a good ribbon like Hero or Loaded, but we want to achieve something that celebrates averageness. This means avoiding higher education, grabbing an average job with little chance of promotions and neglecting loved ones and social life. Just focus on your life and go through most years  quickly. It won’t hurt to have a relationship or two, but don’t get distracted from your life of mediocrity.

How easy is easy?

It’s possible to achieve mediocrity from a young age and living a long life, as long as you don’t do much. In my first two attempts to achieve this ribbon, I achieved this ribbon in one life that lasted 74 years, and one that lasted 14. So mediocrity is not an exclusive club, so you don’t need to try that hard to fall into it. Gambling, alcohol and drugs are part of a mediocre life, plus they upset loved ones around you.

So, if you really want this ribbon then you should avoid education, take drugs and gamble all your money away. You could also cheat on your partners and do not keep in touch with your parents. Another way to ensure mediocrity is to avoid prison and to be fired from your job because of poor performance. Now you know what makes up for a mediocre life, you can avoid doing the same for achieving those hard to get ribbons like loaded or hero.

How to Become a BitLife CEO

Here are some tips and tricks you need to become a BitLife CEO.

Get a Solid Start

Although many individuals throughout history have worked their way up from the bottom, in BitLife you could really use a helping hand. So this means if you have a life with high stats across the board, and you are born in a modern country, then you should have what it takes to make it to the top. Although what country you are in shouldn’t matter too much, it will be easier if you are in a country with many top CEO positions, like America or the United Kingdom.

Take Your Time

Each year of your life in BitLife can either take a matter seconds or minutes. If you want a top CEO position, then each year of your life should be spent to the fullest. This includes bettering yourself with the gym or other movies and spending time with loved ones, including parents. As part of spending time on each individual go, you will be more in control of your BitLife, so random illness or events can be easily managed or prevented.

Study Hard

As with any CEO position, it takes a lot of hard work to get rewarded. This means going to university and studying a relevant degree. You might think what is a relevant degree? Well, after university you will want to go to Business School, so any course that will help you qualify for business school as part of your further education. So remember, work hard at school go to a good course at university and then go to business school, the rest is just hard work and dedication.

Hard Work and Dedication

If you want to become a CEO, you will need to spend a lot of time working. No one who leaves business school falls into a top CEO position; more often than not you will have to work from the bottom of the company to the top. This means you want to have an active social life and take part in any activity the company organises. Sucking up to your supervisors could also be another method of becoming an executive, but sometimes you won’t have the chance.

Remember Your Family

When trying to achieve the top job you might forget about your partner at home, or the kids growing up and your parents, if they are still alive. So make sure you continue to spend time with your family as you chase that top job. What’s the point of a load of money if you have no one to spend it with? SO take your family on holiday, go on flights or cruises and enjoy the high life.

Avoid Trouble

A CEO or executive is not normally an individual who has been to jail. So if it comes down to interfering with a crime, or trying to help a random situation, then you should look the other way. A good CEO knows exactly when to look away, and you do not want to go to jail over some petty dispute. It may be against your morals, but this is a cut-throat world, so just keep your head down and everything will be fine.

Becoming a CEO is hard work even in BitLife, so I recommend spending your time at one company. If you jump around, you might have a chance to skip a promotion or two, but my experience has taught me to be persistent at the company you’re at. Keep managing your happiness, health and family and the top position will be yours, eventually.

A job is a job

I think it’s important to mention before we get into the nitty-gritty of our BitLife make money guide that each BitLife is different. They offer different subjects to study and a wide range of jobs and salaries. There are a few jobs that stick out above any other but each situation is unique. Some jobs that network you a lot of cash in one BitLife may become problematic in another.

So you might try to become a doctor in America because an average salary is over $100k. But in your pursuit of medicine you are unable to get any scholarships, so you end up in massive debt before you start earning. Meaning you spend half your life paying off debt, which can interfere with plans to buy a home or to get married.

In some lives, you might get a scholarship for university and for medical school. Which is ideal as you will start earning a lot of money quickly, plus the chance of promotion is high in medicine. So you have a bright future if you work hard and stick at it. It really depends on your situation, medicine is a well-paid field, but if it costs you a lot of money to get there, then maybe aim for something else.

What Are The Best-Paying Jobs?

That is a good question but there is more than one answer. As I mentioned above, every BitLife is different so the best-paid job in one life can be lower when in another. So it makes no sense to always aim for the same jobs as the same job might have a drastically different salary based on where you are in the world. But, this doesn’t mean there aren’t jobs that pay well. In fact, there are many jobs that pay well, all of which have different criteria to be fulfilled.

Good paying jobs to take note of include becoming a pilot, an actor or even a porn star. It’s not as simple as studying the right subjects, to become an actor you need great looks and living in a place like Hollywood will only help. It also helps your salary to have a massive social media following, so don’t forget to post as often as you can.

Any job to do with big money like a stockbroker or business analyst is a good way to earn a lot of money with a lot of chances with a promotion. Anything corporate is another good chance to earn money as any corporation has a hierarchy of power which means you can earn your way to the top. As mentioned above medicine is a good earner, especially if you can get scholarships to study. It’s also possible to earn a lot of money from veterinary positions, as well as anything pharmaceutical. Essentially, it’s not difficult to earn money if you are smart enough.

Do I Have To Get Higher Education?

This is not strictly true as it is possible to work your way up from any position. However, it is a far easier process to go to university and then pick one of the many specialised schools for further education. The most profitable school to seek further education is either graduate school, business school or law school. Law school is the most demanding of the schools mentioned, this is because you need to study certain subjects to enlist at law school, and often enough these subjects won’t come up. Don’t worry if you can’t see any law-related university subjects, just aim for something mathematical and go to business school or graduate school.

The most profitable jobs are ones that don’t involve further education like acting. But that involves managing other aspects in your life such as your looks and health. So you may have to spend money to make money if you are aiming for a role in front of the camera (plastic surgery).
