The post Pokemon GO Spooky Message Special Research Guide: All 3 Tasks and Rewards appeared first on Gamezebo.
]]>The bad news about A Spooky Message is that it’s time-limited, but the good news is that there are far fewer groups of tasks to complete — just three, in fact. Here’s what you need to do to get through all three sets of tasks and the rewards you’ll get when you do.
Tasks:
The first part of this step is pretty self-explanatory, and much easier at the moment since Ghost-type Pokemon are spawning at much higher rates. Halloween, remember?
Making Great Throws is all up to you, but it can actually work together with the final task if you run into Pokemon who aren’t that easy to catch. Why? Well, you might get a chance for several Great Throws in one encounter if a Pokemon escapes your Pokeballs a few times, and each berry you use along the way also will count toward the 108 total too. So if it takes, say, four Razz Berries to capture a single Pokemon, all four will count toward the total.
Bonus fact: GameRant has a fun explanation of why the number 108 is part of this step.
Rewards:
Tasks:
Go west, young man. Or north, south or east, and it doesn’t matter if you’re young or a man. The point is that you’ll have to travel a bit to handle this set of tasks, and ironically, the more you’ve played Pokemon GO in places away from home, the more difficult it will be to find eight PokeStops that are new to you. Funny how that works.
Fortunately, the other two parts of this step are easier. Dark-type Pokemon are also more abundant around Halloween, and catching 108 Pokemon is simply a matter of playing often. No big wrinkles there.
Rewards:
Yes, this is the exact same set of rewards from the first step, but that’s okay because it’s worth it for the final step.
Task:
This might not be your last task, depending on how you approach the three tasks in the previous step, Spiritomb will appear as a special encounter once you catch 108 Pokemon, but that’s likely to take you the longest time anyway.
Rewards:
That’s not a bad haul for your trouble, especially when you consider how much less overall work this particular Special Research chain is. The Spiritomb candy can be used in conjunction with the Stardust right away, which is why you’ll probably notice some fairly powerful Spiritombs out guarding gyms in your neck of the wood during and immediately after this event.

]]>The post Dragalia Lost Tier List: Your Guide to the Best Adventurers and Dragons appeared first on Gamezebo.
]]>Happily, someone playing some RPG in the past invented something called a tier list — seriously, we have no idea who came up with the first one, so Reddit, holler if you know — which is a quick way to separate the heroes from the zeroes. Or at least the SS from the C, which is just as useful.
Here’s the thing about a tier list, though: It’s simply opinion, though usually of the educated variety since it is ideally based on what you and other Dragalia Lost players have experienced over time. To put together ours, we consulted both the Dragalia Lost wiki on Gamepedia and IGN to get their views, then filtered them through our own.
Also, it’s important to remember that the element system in Dragalia Lost is very strong, and that optimizing by element is a really good idea for certain quests. So perhaps even more than many other RPGs, it’s best to use the tier lists as guides and not bibles, because there are absolutely certain levels for which it makes sense to simply use the four best heroes from one element.
Of course, this list can still help for those comparisons, so let’s dive into the adventurers first.
Any adventurer you don’t see on the list can be considered C tier.
Any dragons not found in one of the above groups can be considered C tier, including all 3-star dragons.
Hopefully you’ll find this tier list useful and at least use it as the framework for your own. We’ve also got more Dragalia Lost guides that can help, including our general tips and hints plus advice on how to get free Wyrmite.

]]>The post Candy Crush Friends Saga: How to Get Free Lives appeared first on Gamezebo.
]]>However, in King’s other Saga games, of which the original Candy Crush Saga remains, well, the king, having a lot of friends to send you lives was of the utmost importance because you could ask them to send you free lives and manage them to always have five on hand if necessary. Candy Crush Friends Saga works a little differently.
The most important difference is that if you have full lives, you can’t even ask your friends for help. You need to be down at least one life before you can do anything at all. But the big deal is that you can’t “store” lives to refill when you want. Here’s how the game’s own help section describes it:
If your friend sends you multiple sets of lives then you will only see one set in the queue, once they have been accepted then you will be able to receive any more requests which are then re-sent.
If you run out of lives, you will have the chance to ask your friends to help you, or you can use the lives that have already been received.
That might sound confusing for now, but it will make more sense once you’ve been playing Candy Crush Friends Saga for a bit.
When you are in need of lives, here’s what you need to do.
You’ll also want to tap the heart meter to find out if your friends have actually helped you and sent some, because you claim them there as well.
What, you expect us to mess around with the clock on our phone just for you? Well, we suppose so, seeing as we’re pals and all …
What we’re talking about is this old favorite for Candy Crush Saga, where you could trick your mobile device into thinking the timer had run down and refilled your lives. So does it work for Candy Crush Friends Saga?
Yep, it sure seems to. You can definitely trick your phone or tablet by turning off the automatic date/time setting feature and then fast forwarding however long is necessary to refill your lives. At least you can right now. Maybe King will do something to prevent it at some point, or perhaps they just figure if you’re willing to play with fire by risking forgetting to restore your device to the proper time, that’s on you.
In any case, please tell us how it is in the future, as we’d love to know.
We’ve also got general Candy Crush Friends Saga tips and hints if you need more. Now go and live your best lives, five at a time.

]]>The post Pokemon GO: Which Pokemon Have Had Their CP Values Lowered Most? appeared first on Gamezebo.
]]>(When, exactly? Niantic hasn’t revealed that information just yet, but the best guess is that the new Pokemon are coming before the end of October.)
To get ready for new characters, the devs have taken a hard look at the stats for the hundreds of Pokemon already in the game. As the always intrepid people at The Sliph Road have discovered, almost every character in Pokemon GO has been part of a massive rebalancing that has led to lower Defense stat values for the majority of Pokemon, along with buffs in other areas. The end result is that some of the best defenders have been nerfed a bit, though they should still be good for defending gyms even if they are slightly less effective.
In all, 13 Pokemon have been nerfed, meaning their CP values will drop once the rebalancing changes, which have been temporarily rolled back at the time of this article, are put back in the game. Here’s a quick look at who’s been hit the hardest in the relative order of how much the nerf affects them.
Note that at the bottom of the list, the reduction in CP should be very minor, where the effects on the likes of Blissey, Chansey and Snorlax will be more profound.
That means every other character in Pokemon GO has been buffed in terms of overall CP, though in most cases their defense stats will still see a reduction (about 75 percent of Pokemon will see defense nerfs). We’re obviously not going to list all 300-plus Pokemon to be buffed, but here’s a list of the top 25 beneficiaries of CP buffs.
When will the changes be reinstated? We don’t know for sure, but depending on when you read this article, it may have already taken place. The idea is to level the playing field a bit to make sure that everything is perfectly balanced (h/t Thanos for that phrasing) for when the Gen 4 Pokemon arrive. While not all of them will enter Pokemon GO at the same time, we’re talking about 107 new pocket monsters when it’s all said and done.
Again, the CP changes don’t mean that workhorses like Blissey and Snorlax won’t still be great gym defenders. They just won’t be quite as superior compared to some other options, and that should be a good thing in the long run.

]]>The post Candy Crush Friends Saga Tips, Cheats and Strategies appeared first on Gamezebo.
]]>You shouldn’t overlook those characters, though. The inhabitants of the world of Candy Crush Friends Saga actually have an important role to play, as they have unique special abilities that activate when you match a certain number of one kind of symbol, allowing you to more easily clear a level. Choosing between them, as you’ll be able to do as soon as you unlock more than one, can be the key to being able to get past a particularly challenging board.
There’s plenty more to discuss when it comes to Candy Crush Friends Saga, so let’s do that right now, with our guide to all the tips and tricks you’ll need to get ahead of your friends right away.
Candy Crush Friends Saga only gives you a certain number of matches to clear each level, and the less moves you make, the higher your score. Having moves left over is the best way to rack up a score high enough to earn three stars.
However, your actual objective in each level can be different, and it’s important to keep it in mind. Here are a few you’ll encounter along the way:
Bonus tip: A counter in the upper-left corner of the screen is tracking your progress toward your goal, so make sure to keep an eye on it.
We’re not absolutely sure if the 3D characters in the game are the “Friends” referred to in the title, but we’re assuming that’s the case until told otherwise. You’ll learn quickly that every character has his or her own special power-up symbol that gets added to the board once you’ve made enough matches of a particular kind of candy. Tiffi, for instance, will throw Swedish fish onto the board once you’ve matched 10 jelly beans. Swedish fish, in turn, will swim right toward your objective and directly help you pass a level.
Other characters have their own special candies, and some may be more useful in a particular level. You can pick which character you want to help you before you start any level, and the game will recommend one, so it pays to take heed, especially if you’ve never played that level before.
Just like in the first Candy Crush Saga, there are quite a few power-ups you can create by doing matches that are more than the simple three like symbols in a row. Here are the Special Candies and how to make them:
Keep in mind that you can often set off some powerful combos by matching two of these power-ups together. Experiment and you can pretty quickly figure out your own favorite combos.
In closing, one extra tip: If you are stuck, watch the game carefully. Not only will it show you a match that can be made, the character you have as a helper will often suggest a Special Candy that can be formed based on what’s on the board. See? They really are your friends.

]]>The post Dragalia Lost: All the Ways to Get Free Wyrmite appeared first on Gamezebo.
]]>But we digress. You’d think Wyrmite would be the premium currency in Dragalia Lost because you need so much of it — 1500 for Tenfold Summons, which is really how you should be spending it, as well as for item summons — but you’d be wrong. The premium currency is actually called Diamantium, and that’s the stuff you buy with real money if that’s something you want to do.
So, huzzah! You can get your Wyrmite for free, and that’s a good thing. But how? That’s exactly what we’re here to explain. Let’s talk about the ways. All of them.
Some games call them daily tasks or quests. Dragalia Lost calls them Endeavors, and even though that’s a little odd, it’s the same concept. Endeavors are goals for you to complete for a variety of rewards, most of which pay out in Wyrmite.
There are four kinds of Endeavors:
We don’t need no stars when we have the fluer-de-lis. That’s the measuring stick for how impressively you complete any stage, which means keeping everyone in your party alive. If you do, you’ll get all three symbols filled in and get a gift of Wyrmite in your inbox. You’ll also be able to replay the level without actually playing it by using a skip ticket, which isn’t directly related to our discussion but is still useful information.
Don’t forget that this applies to not just your story quests but events as well. Play them both to earn as much Wyrmite as possible.
Yep, like many other mobile games you’ve grown to know and love, you’ll get some Wyrmite just for logging in. Daily rewards are always welcome.
That may not seem like a lot of methods to earn free Wyrmite, but you’ll find yourself earning it in small amounts constantly. It’s tempting to spend it early, but stockpiling Wyrmite for limited time only events or simply for Tenfold Summons is the way to go.

]]>The post How to Reroll Your Starting Characters in Dragalia Lost appeared first on Gamezebo.
]]>What if you could make the odds ever in your favor, to coin a phrase that I definitely never heard in any form of pop culture ever before? There’s actually a pretty easy way to reroll the characters you have at your disposal when you first start your journey in Dragalia Lost. The best part is that it’s completely free, and you can even do it repeatedly if you so choose. That’s actually more than one part, but let’s not quibble over semantics.
The two keys to the rerolling process are the Jumpstart Endeavors, which are goals you can complete when you first start playing to get plenty of Wyrmite (one of the game’s several currencies, and key to obtaining more characters) and to not link your account to the game right away. Intrigued? We’ll lay it out step by step for you.
How do you know if what you get from your first two Tenfold Summons is good enough? It really depends on how much you want from your starting characters, though IGN suggests rerolling until you get two or three five-star characters.
You should be all set and be able to start from a much better position than simply leaving things to chance. Don’t forget to check out our general Dragalia Lost guide for even more helpful hints and tips.

]]>The post Pokemon GO: How to Catch Shiny Krabby With October Field Research Quests appeared first on Gamezebo.
]]>But we kid Niantic, who undoubtedly has some appropriately spooky treats for Pokemon GO trainers in store for later this month. For the time being, we’re going to zero in on how you can catch Shiny versions of some of your favorite Pokemon thanks to the reshuffled Field Research quest rewards. In particular, Shiny Krabby is the one that seems to be on everyone’s most wanted list, so let’s start by talking about how you can find him first.
There’s good news and bad news when it comes to Shiny Krabby. Since we’re optimists here at Gamezebo, I’ll start with the good: There’s a very particular way to ensure you end up with a Shiny Krabby encounter this month. The bad news is that you don’t have any control over how to trigger it while playing.
Thanks to the work of redditor MilumiGermany, we know exactly which Field Research task is the one we want. As it turns out, in October, the ‘Catch 5 Water-type Pokemon’ task will get you an encounter with Krabby. The only problem is that it’s one of a total of 25 different Field Research quests you might receive when hitting up a PokeStop, and not every one you complete will lead to a Shiny Krabby either, as you can and often will run into the regular version instead.
Still, it’s nice to know exactly how to find Krabby in any case, and then it’s just a matter of hoping the RNG gods are on your side. As well, the research reward Pokemon can’t run away, so once you find Shiny Krabby, you’ll know it’s coming home with you.
This is the obvious follow-up question, but it’s also a good one. Shiny Krabby isn’t alone this month, as you can find other Shiny Pokemon in Field Research encounters all month long.
Here’s who to look for and how to get a chance at an encounter with them:
The same caveat applies: You aren’t guaranteed to find the Shiny version of the Pokemon listed here when you complete these quests, but there’s a chance for it every time.
Finally, don’t forget that there’s a new Research Breakthrough reward as well, and for October, it’s the Water-type Legendary Pokemon Suicune. If you’re on the hunt for Shiny Krabby this month anyway, you should definitely find it easy to collect your seven stamps, maybe even more than once.
